They both have different brand components in comparison. A few of the different comparisons would be pricing, quality, packaging, logos, brand equity and features. In the following paper we will discuss these items in detail to see how different these two brands are. Pricing Strategies Looking at the pricing strategies of PepsiCo and Coca-Cola they are taking two very different plans. Both companies are concerned with sustainable packaging, recycling, and making an impact of the future of our globe and its environment. Coca-Cola has a commitment to â€Å"set the standard for sustainable packaging, achieve zero waste in our operations and recycle more packaging than we use† (Coca Cola Enterprises, 2014). Coca-Cola uses targets such as using less packaging, using recycled materials, PET bottles, recyclability of their packaging, manufacturing, and inspiring consumers to recycle to assist in keeping our environments clean (Coca Cola Enterprises, 2014). Coca-Cola also uses campaigns like â€Å"Recycle for the Future† to inspire communities to recycle (Coca Cola Enterprises, 2014). Pepsi also concerns them with less packaging, turning waste into wealth, recycling, and motivating others to recycle (PepsiCo, n.d.). Both companies want to improve what they are doing as a company to help improve the environments in communities where they are located. Mine is a hard life. But then, there are bright spots in it, too. One evening I heard a conversation between two electricians that helped me to understand these things a little better. They were talking about how there werent very many good programs on the air any more, and how they liked religious programs best of all. But they said some of them werent as good as they used to be. And I guess that must be true. Because I know theres a religious program that comes on about the time my mistress does her breakfast dishes. And she always used to listen. Then I guess they got a new singer or something. Maybe singers are naturally loud when theyre new-just as new typewriter ribbons are so lack. Ive heard my master talk about how it takes a little time to wear them down. Well, I got off the subject. But anyway, about this program! The speaker would be talking along so nice and smooth, and all of a sudden there would be a dreadful noise. Ive heard a lot about atom bombs. But I dont think it was that, because it lasted too long. It must have been the singer. Anyway, my mistress would get a terrible scowl on her face and come running in from the kitchen. She wouldnt take time to dry her hands, and oh, how I hate to get dishwater all over me ! But I guess she couldnt help it. She always said something about her ears. And finally she stopped listening to that program. She said she liked the speaker, but she couldnt run back and forth all the time. Not long after that I was sent into the shop for repair. Maybe I had ear trouble too. But I was glad I went, because it was there that I met my good friend, the microphone. We got so well acquainted that now I call him Mike. And Mike has certainly had a lot of experience. Really, he knows a lot. And he explained a lot of things I didnt understand. The first thing I asked him was why new singers were so loud. And he said it is because new singers always think that their listeners are miles away, and they try to make them hear without a radio. So they sound like fire hydrants-if fire hydrants could sing ! That makes only two feet ; so they are really singing right in peoples ears. And Mike says it is very impolite to shout in anyones ear. Really, it is just amazing how much Mike has heard. People are always talking to him. And when they arent talking to him, he still has to stand by in readiness. So he gets a lot of inside information. Mike said that one day the manager of the radio station came into the studio with a gentleman, and they were talking about religious programs. I guess this gentleman wanted to buy time for one. And the manager gave him quite a line about how they had to broadcast the baseball games and all the other, things people wanted, and that there were too many religious programs on the air already. But he thinks it is better that way. He says that some time after that, they moved him into another studio; and there was a religious program there too. He said they were fine people-really good Christians. But he thought they must not have expected anyone to be listening to their program. At least they didnt act like it. Sometimes one of them wouldnt get there until two or three minutes before program time. And sometimes they were there, but they read a newspaper or listened to a ball game till almost time to broadcast. I told him probably they had planned and re ­hearsed their program some other time before that. But he said, My, no ! He said the preacher had his sermon ready, and that was all. The rest was ad lib. He told me what that meant, but I guess you already know. Mike says some people can ad lib and some cant. The ones who cant are the ones who do it, and the ones who can know better than to try it. I remembered then that I heard the preacher talk about Job and his wife being led out of Sodom. And my master said something about the script. But Mike said there wasnt any script, and the preacher really could read all right. He says the preacher really does pretty well, but he wishes the rest of the program wouldnt be thrown together in such a haphazard way. He says sometimes the singers dont even know what they are going to sing when they go on the air. And its hard for the organist to know what key to play in if she doesnt even know what the song is going to be. Mike says the organist really has a hard time. She is supposed to play a background while the preacher reads the poems. But he doesnt pick them out till during the first song, so she has to guess at what to play when he starts read ­ing. One day the poem started out about a mothers son, and she started to play, Where Is My Wandering Boy, Tonight? Then it turned out to be a good son instead of a way ­ward one ! But it wasnt the organists fault. How could she know? My friend the microphone says he actually gets mike fright sometimes for fear some ­thing will really go wrong. And he told me he wished he could be back on the network program, because it is so smooth. Every word of it is written out-even the prayer. He said that seemed disrespectful at first. But he heard the preacher say that if we took time to write out what we say to men, to be sure it is right, we ought to be just as careful about what we say to God. Thus through these styles, Cameron is able to communicate the nightmarish logic in the situation, where we begin to question with the characters; who and what is real in this world, causing a sense of paranoia amongst us. The play incorporates black humour through actors playing multiple roles, all which seem to be strange, changing the perception of the audience through the way the story is told. The fact that everyone appears to be guilty and most obviously through the unusual things that continue to happen throughout the play, contribute to the fear created engaging the audience as a reflection. Through the theatrical conceit of only two actors playing such a range of characters, one begins to question if all are completely separate. Major characters of Ray and Sylvie are both weakened by the loss of their child, and both are witnesses to the effect of grief in their lives, Ray’s integrity is mistrusted by the audience as we witness the progression of the play, and Sylvie becomes increasingly unstable and psychotic as her grief continues in a cyclical pattern. The minor characters throughout the play, Veronica Vale, Dulcie Doily, Sid Craven etc, all follow the archetype method of Cameron is their creation. This post expands on that one to recommend that you inspect your writing for anything that smacks of spoken English. If you’ve ever seen a transcript of an extended discourse a written record of someone’s comments, rather than the prepared script for a speech you’ll understand how widely spoken and written English can diverge. Spontaneous speech, at least, is riddled with qualifications and equivocations. It’s easy enough to dispose of â€Å"um†s and â€Å"uh†s, â€Å"well†s and â€Å"you know†s when converting a transcript to an essay, but writers should purge their prose of other utterances, words, and phrases as well that add a lot to a word count but little to a description or an argument. (See this post, for instance, for a list of adjectival intensifiers and their adverbial forms to avoid.) In addition, omit hedging phrases such as â€Å"as I see it,† â€Å"from my point of view,† â€Å"in my opinion,† and â€Å"it seems to me.† Search and destroy such pompous filler as â€Å"be that as it may† or â€Å"other things being equal.† These are all understandable (though not necessarily forgivable) indulgences in spoken English, whether impromptu or rehearsed at best, they’re nearly meaningless phrases one tosses off while thinking of what to say next, and at worst, they clutter a speech, distracting and discouraging listeners. The continuation of this motif is hypnotic and rings as though the speaker and audience are being simultaneously initiated into the deepest, most dire expression of human despair, essentially that of self-confrontation, or self-realization. One might readily observe the letter â€Å"O† itself as not only a sight-rhyme, but an almost concrete expression of this self-confrontation ro realization, as a symbol of wholeness, unity and perfection. This unity is applied in ironically – in tragic consequence – reflecting not only Desdemona’s essential purity, but now longed for wholeness of Othello’s former self: â€Å"Cold, cold, my girl! / Even like thy chastity. O cursed slave! † (272-273). The invocation to â€Å"ye devils† to â€Å"blow me about in winds! / roast me in sulphur! / Wash me in steep-down gulfs of liquid fire! † (275-277) crescendos into the despairing refrain of â€Å"O Desdemona! Desdemona! dead! / O! O! O! † (278-279). The ethics involved with the practice of brainwashing would be very hard to justify, completely changing the way a person thinks and acts isn’t ethical. The main idea behind brainwashing is harmless enough, it can be as simple as getting everyone to agree with you all the time. Maybe even making everyone think you accomplished a feat no one thought was possible. More seriously, it could even make people completely turn their back on a lifelong friend. Brainwashing is harmless until it gets taken out of control ith a bad motive behind it. For example, controlling a president to run their country into the ground and create civil war could be considered unethical. I think that because of how uncontrollable the human race is, working on a way to brainwash people is undoubtedly unethical. There is some usefulness to the practice of brainwashing but it would be almost impossible to not let it get into the wrong hands. It could be used to get information out of spies and would force security to be tighter. It would also be useful to rehabilitate convicted felons to help them get their life back on track. Also, it could help addicts to help get over their addiction and move on in life. I think the topic of weather to use it or not would be a big debate in countries. Brainwashing can be helpful but also harmful to those involved and the question of the ethics of it is up for debate, but personally I think it is an unethical practice because of how uncontrollable humans can be.

Zachariah is the lone black man on the ship who, from the beginning, tries to befriend Charlotte and warn her of the potential dangers aboard the ship. Even though most characters are not "deep," they all play some role in demonstrating such things as loyalty and betrayal. In the book, Charlotte not only embarks upon a physical journey but an emotional one as well. At the beginning, we are introduced to a young and proper lady (in the true sense of the word). In both the books, Antigone written by Sophocles in the late 5th century in ancient Greece and The House Of Spirits written by Isabel Allende in the late 20th century, inheritance of sins form one of the major themes. Antigone is the protagonist of Sophocles Antigone. This play takes place in a society where the gods were highly worshipped. To understand this, it is important to know about Oedipus. Oedipus was a man of quick action and extraordinary insight. But, this habit of his eventually turns against him.He saved Thebes from the curse of the Sphinx and became the king overnight,he murders his own father without knowing it, He marries his own mother Jacosta without realizing it, he stabs his own eyes, and then he himself demands to be exiled. He does all of this without knowing that one day, his curse will also befall on his family. The Greeks believed, that the entire family would be destroyed because of some crime committed by their forefathers because the god send them pain and suffering on order to avenge them. He pours all his hatred into Alba to take revenge.. This is so because Estaban Garcia wants to take revenge on his grandfatherby torturing his granddaughter. Hehates his grandfather for not acknowledging him as. In the epilogue of this book, we also find out that Alba becomes the narrator  [i]  of the story. The epilogue of the story plays a major role as it is spoken by Alba herself and it helps her realize the reason behind these painful incidents. In The House of the Spirits, Alba suffers significantly because of her past..Estaban Trueba is the most prominent character in this book and he is the only character who stays from the beginning to the very end of the book. From the very beginning of the story, he makes a lots of mistakes without realising that one day it will bounce back at him through Alba. By writing this story, both Estaban Trueba and Alba are able to let go of their anger and their yearning to take revenge. In both these books, it is seen that the course of the lives of the characters is determined through the sins committed by their forefathers. In Sophocles Antigone, it is brought out through Antigone. In The House of the Spirits, it is brought out through the youngest living character, Alba. In both these books, these characters realize that their life is shadowed by the sins that their ancestors committed in a very painful way. Antigone is tortured to death while Alba is physically and mentally tortured by Estaban Garcia. In Antigone, it was believed that Antigone suffered because the gods bring ruin to the family that has committed sins whereas in The House of the Spirits, Estaban Garcias desire for avenge became the consequence for the sins committed by the Estaban Trueba.In The House of the Spirits, we also see that the government and the political situation also plays an extremely important role in Albas life. It is because of her grandfathers power than gave rise to so many riv als and it was because of the political situation that Alba was tortured. We see that unlike Antigone, Alba realised that the mistakes she does today will affect her upcoming generations. This is what changes her life forever. Antigone dies whereas Alba lives. Though both these books have different places of origin and different timelines, they depict the same theme through these books.
